Canton though seems to have been fortunate enough to preserve several blocks that have since been revitalized, particularly 4th St NW, and stretches of Cleveland Ave N and Market Ave N, where you will find many of the galleries and restaurants. There's also the Court Street commons which hosts vendors during the warmer months.

The street grid remains intact within downtown itself and much of the city, and actually incorporates a quadrant system (NE, NW, SE, SW) with numbered streets out to roughly about 50. Suburban sprawl patterns tend to take over at the outer fringes. Within downtown, some key streets are actually still one-way, which can be somewhat confusing at first. Not sure when the city will address these, though they are aggressively adding bike lanes to some of them.

I usually visit the Canton Repository (cantonrep.com) which is the city's newspaper, but they give you about 5-10 free views (seems to change every month) before shunting you to a paywall. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much of a blog scene yet that I've found, at least as far as the arts scene goes. The Stark County Political report (starkpoliticalreport.blogspot.com) covers local politics with a flair like none I've ever seen, though.John Stegallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14956516771422933232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29712953.post-42929589174801178342014-09-12T10:37:22.651-04:002014-09-12T10:37:22.651-04:00What are the rest of the buildings like? Ai Qiu found this blog about our "mysterious studio" we may be eccentric but there's nothing mysterious about a beautiful 3000 square ft building with 30 foot ceilings for $9,000 or a main st store front for 10,000(with apartment on top)....its a artist's dream loft just 500 miles from SoHo, NYC. We sell to a national, international market so it matters not where we live, an artist's life is in home and studio, both are had very cheaply here, there's a nice lake ,weve got clean air and water, mild climate, friendly people, low taxes, and I can't see raising our 5 kids in a hip downtown city. Theres a fair number of other urban refugees who have landed here too.
www.billhopen.com www.aihopen.com Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29712953.post-27926749401877037892013-08-17T01:49:48.145-04:002013-08-17T01:49:48.145-04:00This is cool!This is cool!Timhttp://besttreadmillforhomes.us/2013/08/08/the-treadmill-who-and-how-to-use-it/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29712953.post-38384810521827112162013-08-16T04:54:35.054-04:002013-08-16T04:54:35.054-04:00This is fantastic!This is fantastic!Theohttp://besttreadmillforhomes.us/2013/08/08/the-proper-treadmill-exercise/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29712953.post-30852345513657897172013-08-15T16:56:29.705-04:002013-08-15T16:56:29.705-04:00Thanks so much for posting!
