It's amazing this place has lasted as long as it has. A small dive bar, a two story building on a now prime corner of wealthy hipster central....near soho, the Bowery, Lower East Side and East Village.Mars Bar is a visual feast ( if you like this sort of wild crazy graffiti punk madness like I do). I can't believe its held on this long....a small building in a hip hip hip area of the Bowery. I loved taking pictures there and will miss it. Supposedly....it will be replaced by a new Mars Bar on the first floor of the new building thats going up. Hopefully someone will salvage that bathroom door ....and more.
